Meet the Team
Brandon Hayes
CEO
Brandon Hayes - President
Brandon “Magic Man” Hayes can often be seen running in multiple directions simultaneously. He wears many hats while running the tight ship known as Kalos Consulting. Brandon wanted to be a magician as a kid, but we think he might be one as he creates magic here every day. Brandon has his hands full with his wife, Valerie, and 2 young daughters, Arielle and Lucy. Recently, they welcomed their 3rd child, Ethan. But no matter how much he’s juggling, he keeps his magical powers focused on business.
Brandon is a true lover of the outdoors and will take every opportunity to get a little dirty. After Brandon moved with his family to South Carolina, he enjoys the amazing people and a great network in his community and is focused on supporting small businesses in his new hometown, such as the partnership of ‘Small Business of the Carolina Panthers’ and several local small business events and conferences. Brandon loves hunting, fishing, camping, and being in the sun. That must be why he can eat so much at those Brazilian steakhouses he loves so much.
Brandon says the key to his heart is an adventure, but we know it’s freshly brewed iced tea. Shaken, not stirred. When he isn’t making magic happen around the office, he’s laughing, telling jokes, and making people smile. He’s a giant, cuddly, sweet kid at heart, but don’t tell him we said that.
A great way to break the ice with Brandon is to ask him about his voice impersonations. He does a lot of them and is quite talented at it.
Anthony Coltman
Senior Director Technical Recruiting
Anthony Coltman - Senior Director Technical Recruiting
Anthony “Rugged Teddy Bear” Coltman has an eye for talent, that’s why he’s so effective as our senior recruiter. We think it’s because he’s great at noticing the unsaid details. Likely, considering his role as loving husband to Evelyn and attentive father to Addy & Sierra. Despite being a giant teddy bear and super easy to work with, Anthony is truly a rugged fella’. He loves to be barefoot and his favorite mornings are those where nature, mainly birds, is responsible for waking him up.
Anthony collects high-dollar lumber pieces to craft into timeless furniture for his family. He loves to be outside and enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, nature photography, and spending time by the ocean. But don’t let that fool you, Anthony also writes poetry, laughs at his own jokes, and is inspired by Nicolai Tesla. Consumed with learning, Anthony is a big fan of taking risks and using your faults as a catalyst for growth. He’s known for having a large palate and a genuine love for flavors. To get on his good side, it’s a sure bet to offer him eggs benedict on potato pancakes (assuming you’ve heard of such things.)
A great way to break the ice with Anthony is to ask him about his dream Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series, equipped with a tented roof and fully functioning fridge.
Sandra Ensign
Senior Director Client Relations & Operations
Sandra Ensign - Senior Director Client Relations & Operations
Sandra “Sweet as Pie” Ensign (no, we didn’t give her that nickname but we agree it suits her) is the glue that holds our organization together. We think it may be due to her OCD-like organizational obsession. Like organizing her closet by colors and season. Whatever the case may be, we’re lucky to have her on top of every project. You’ll get to know Sandra in working with us and like us, we know you’ll love her.
Sandra has lived all over the sunny parts of the US and Germany. She loves her husband Patrick, her doggo Hailey, and Reese’s candy. If you’re looking to bribe her, we suggest Filet Mignon and Oreos, prepared separately, of course. As a recent resident of Phoenix, AZ, Sandra enjoys hiking, running, swimming, and nature walks with Hailey. Her dream would be to own a huge dog resort where her and Hailey can spoil and love (formerly) homeless dogs until their hearts are content.
A great way to break the ice with Sandra is to talk about music, as she was once a DJ and radio broadcaster.
Abbie Fisher
Account Specialist
Abbie Fisher - Career Consultant
Abbie “Artsy Mom” Fisher works hard to help our team recruit and manage talent. Abbie’s family-first attitude is why she’s so patient and compassionate in her duties here at Kalos. When she’s not working, she’s constantly spending time with her 2 kids Alayna and Cullen, and Mike, her college sweetheart. Abbie and her children love arts and crafts, scrapbooking, and poetry.
Abbie collects anything related to dolphins as well as writing children’s books in her free time. Her creativity and love for arts are only surpassed by her love for dogs. She also loves to give to her community, finding as many ways as possible to contribute to her church, and her children’s school. As a kid, her career goals were to be a successful author, as well as design advertisements that will run during the Super Bowl.
A great way to break the ice with Abbie is to talk about her collection of Disney items. We’ll warn you though, it’s a pretty big collection.
Stuart Modrzejewski
Career Consultant
Stuart Modrzejewski - Career Consultant
Stuart “Mr. Cool” Modrzejewski is kind of like our own personal James Bond. More like Jason Bourne, which happens to be the protagonist in Stuart’s favorite film, ‘The Bourne Identity. No, he’s not an assassin or a spy, but he is cool under pressure, like really cool. We think that’s what makes him a great recruiter is his collected demeanor and his even temper.
When he isn’t hanging out with his wife Michele and daughter Abi Joy, you can find Stuart jamming out on the guitar. Even since he was a young boy he loved music and wanted to play in a band. He also really likes cooking and roasting his own coffee beans. His favorite is beef tenderloin. If you like a good sandwich, Stuart makes one with horseradish sauce that’ll make you sweat (quite literally.) Stuart’s model for success is simple love deeply and faithfully, work hard and honestly, and navigate the rough stuff with as much grace as you can.
A great way to break the ice with Stuart is to talk about his Starbucks mugs. Stu once collected them during his travels, but eventually had to cut back due the the space they take up. We understand. How many cups of coffee can you REALLY drink at one time?
Ed Culleeney
Career Consultant
Ed Culleeney - Career Consultant
Ed “Always Prepared” Culleeney is a stickler for preparation, organization, and etiquette. His wife might tell you these are quirks but we think these are underrated traits that make him such a valuable member of our team His grandfather was an Italian immigrant who went from railroad laborer to a successful entrepreneur taught him the value of being balanced with working hard and staying educated. You can see why he’s so good as an Executive Recruiter.
Ed enjoys gardening, singing karaoke, and playing Fantasy Football. He also enjoys the art of making wine and also in fine dining cuisine. He’s taken courses on wine education and can tell you the differences between Pinot Noir blends around the California region. Ed’s passion for cooking focuses primarily on Italian cuisine and techniques and of course, always greatly paired with a good bottle of fine wine.
A great way to break the ice with Ed is to talk to him about cookbooks. Although his collection is down to 20-30, he used to have around 150 and can probably give you several cooking tips. Especially about cooking with wine.
Dan Bauma
SDR (Sales Development Representative)
Dan Bauma - SDR (Sales Development Representative)
As a Chicago native, you can find Dan participating in every major sporting season, cheering on the Bulls, the White Socks, or Da Bears. Whether by foot, bike, jet ski, or by Nissan 370Z (Dan really wants this car, and we can’t blame him), Dan likes to stay active and move in mind, body, and soul. He also has a few soft spots (don’t tell him we told you that.) They consist of, in no particular order, the movie Forrest Gump, Mountain Dew, Blackened Grouper, and the sweetest, most adorable 93-year-old grandma that he absolutely adores.
A great way to break the ice with Dan is to talk about sports cards or memorabilia. He’s been collecting and selling them for over 20 years.
