The Role You will Play
- The Associate Actuary will provide pension consulting/actuarial services for various types of pension plans.
- This role will reconcile and review pension valuation results including review of liabilities, sample lives, detailed gains/loss analysis, pricing tools and projection models.
- The Associate Actuary is entrusted to manage projects on-budget and on-time.
Community Highlights
- This role can be based within the following areas Greater Metropolitan Philadelphia; Mount Laurel, NJ; New York City, NY; and McLean, VA.
- Travel for client meetings required.
Background Profile
- 4+ years of pension actuarial experience
- Expertise with all aspects of pension plans – single employer/ multiemployer and/or public sector
- Working knowledge of Taft Hartley
- Proficient in pension plan actuarial valuations including accounting reports, liability determination, funding analysis
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex actuarial issues clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
- Preferred experience in Proval, Access, SQL, and/or JAVA
- FSA or ASA with interest to continue on to FSA, required
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
