The Role You Will Play

  • As a member of the Finance leadership team, the VP Investment Accounting Financial Reporting leads and manages work activities including delivery of financial statements, disclosures, and analysis, establishing and monitoring quality goals, reviewing work completed by direct reports, ensuring quality investment accounting practices and communication to associates and management.
  • This role initiates and leads projects that improve the efficiency of processes, quality of financial reporting, and strengthens controls over investment accounting as well as leads the use and enhancement of multiple investment accounting technology tools for efficient data consolidation, analysis and visual presentation.
  • The VP Investment Accounting Financial Reporting works directly with and supports senior level Investment Department personnel to ensure alignment and integration with the Company’s investment goals, strategies, and operational needs.
  • This position is entrusted to lead integration of new business opportunities, acquisitions and due diligence efforts for investment related matters.

Background Profile

  • 12+ years accounting or auditing experience w/ at least 5 years of investment accounting experience and advanced experience in Statutory and GAAP accounting
  • 10+ years of management experience for a team
  • Superior people management skills, demonstrating an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates with a keen ability to manage associates who are difficult or resistant to leadership
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
