Role You will Play
- The Lead Associate Actuary will provide professional actuarial advice and consulting, participating in the development and implementation of improved actuarial policies and procedures, and managing special research assignments.
- This role will perform database management functions pertaining to pension data sets, including data reconciliation and editing as well as develop and maintain actuarial valuation reports and tools.
- The Lead Associate Actuary will run actuarial valuations, actuarial forecasts, and benefit calculations.

Background Profile
- Strong experience of actuarial, mathematics and/or statistical analysis as well as running Proval code
- 5+ years of actuarial experience with single-employer government Pension plans
- Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts and methods in an understandable manner to non-actuarial professionals
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal and client-facing projects
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software
- ASA Designation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
